Re-editing!

Hi guys!

So myself and Natalie have now re-filmed everything necessary meaning we just need to edit now, happy days!

Rather than doing our usual and just typing what we have done with not many visuals we thought this time we would show you step by step so you're more understanding of what we have altered and for what purpose etc.

Here it goes!...

Firstly myself and Natalie re-filmed our piece to camera as we knew I was placed to much to the side unfortunately. However this time I was placed perfectly which was good. Alongside this we also added a little banner in the left hand corner of which says who I am... the News Reporter.

We then like before added some filler footage and news stories into my piece to camera for variation as we don't want to bore our target audience by nothing 'special' happening. Whilst doing this we remembered we must link the audio with visuals meaning what was playing linked together!

After the news stories and filler footage it goes back onto my piece to camera of which leads onto Sir's interview where he is acting as our professional vet... From now on in the left hand top corner is our logo representing our news channel. This gives our new package a professional and attractive look :)

Here is Sir in action! Once again a name banner comes up in the left hand corner showing who he is... Dr Gilet!

Afterwards we move onto official statistics where we have interesting facts come up onto the screen alongside a voice over underneath, this is placed over a very good shot we took when we visited the RSCPA of a Rottweiler behind several layers of bars showing the confinement making you feel sympathetic towards him/her. Another thing we did with the official statistics was made them short so that our target audience could easily read them alongside linking it with the voice over. We used blue bold font which matches our colour scheme, we also used the transition 'Zoom' of which makes them come onto the screen in a professional manner which is eye catching.

We then move onto another voice over and this time it talks about welfare and charity organizations of which are set up in aid to help dogs like Staffordshire Bull Terriers find new loving homes. We used secondary footage off of Youtube and also used the Media department Mac Books to film ourselves go onto the RSCPA website to 'donate' money. Once again the visuals and audio match!

Last but not least it moved onto our Vox Pops of which shows the members of the public's personal opinions towards the way dogs like Staffordshire Bull Terriers are portrayed within society and equally them being given negative names i.e. being dangerous and vicious.

After all of the above it comes back to me as a piece to camera where I finish the show in a professional manner :)

Throughout the whole of the above we used several effects and transitions like ... in aid for our news channel programme to look professional and real. Alongside this we also used a variety of different shots, fonts, sizes etc in aid to make it bold, eye catching and suit our target audience of kids.

Here are some prime examples of effects, transitions, fonts/sizes etc we used:

Additive Dissolve

Cross Dissolve

Stretch

Zoom

Black & White Effect

Fade In and Out - Audio/Video

Font/Size/Colour

Thanks!
Team; Kenneth - Natalie.
