Planning our Opening Title Sequence.

In order to plan our opening sequence we discussed where and what we were going to film. As a group we went to Pets at Home to look at the different types of animals there. This was to get an idea of what animals we would like to include in our opening sequence. We chose to film animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, different types of fish, gerbils and other pets that we saw there. We filmed a short clip of each of these animals so we could make a montage of them into our title sequence with a different coloured background for each animal clip. We agreed as a group that this idea would be the best one to suit our target audience and the animal theme as it showed a range of different animals. To see what our idea would look like on paper we drew a storyboard showing what the montage of animals would look like in colour and how it would be seen one after the other. This then gave us a clear idea of how our opening sequence would look like in a clear and colourful way. Everyone in the group liked the look of how the sequence came out, including the animals and colours which then meant we could then create this idea on to the computer using Adobe Premier editing software and adapting from our simple storyboard idea.

Here is a photo of our completed storyboard which we will be using throughout the making of our News Channel opening title sequence. It pictures a variety of domestic animals/pets including rabbits, hamsters, fish and so on.

Thanks!
