. : Planning and Producing our Logo.

Hi there, As a team we produced and put together a variety of different logos which we thought would fit in with our news channel package, RAFA (Raising Awareness For Animals). Having had a long discussion and debate on which one suited best, we picked our favourite one and now it was time for us to produce it.

As a team we sat down around the school computer and used Photoshop to begin producing our logo, using our own opinions, we produced a logo we all liked! The first step was using the 'Type Mask Tool' which showed you a variety of different fonts the software had available, when using this tool we had to take into account the font which must be bold and eye catching as our news channel was aimed at kids. We picked two different fonts, 'Copperplate Gothic Light' and 'Cooper Std' one being used for 'RAFA' and the other for 'NEWS'. We then had to decide on effective colours which was listed on the 'set foreground colour' graph where we managed to pick out a nice bright blue and a deep black. After this we had to design what we wanted to be around the logo writing such as images, we decided to use pictures of little animals both domestic and wild which we managed to get off of Google however it was the hard decision of WHICH animals to picture! We then listed a variety of different animals which we liked and thought would be relevant and we then picked out our favourite 5 ours being a squirrel, puppy, eagle, kitten and frog. The next step was then deciding where to place them! With access to the 'Move Tool' we moved the images around into several different positions until we decided and approved of where they should be set. Having thought through this we managed to place all animals nicely around our logo producing a nice eye catching kiddy image which we were proud of.
